Matthew has held ever-expanding roles both on and off Broadway for 15+ years.
At Broadway public relations powerhouse DKC/O&M, Matthew founded the creative division O&M Etc., developing and producing special projects, events, and managing design services for clients across the theatrical spectrum. In addition, he served as Chief of Staff to President Rick Miramontez.
As an Account Executive and Supervisor at DKC/O&M, Matthew handled publicity for the Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival Hello, Dolly! (Bette Midler, Bernadette Peters, Donna Murphy) and the Tony-winning Best Play The Humans, as well as the Broadway productions of Allegiance, Bright Star (Tony nomination), Carousel (Tony nom.), CATS (2016 Revival), The Front Page, A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder (Tony), The Glass Menagerie, Honeymoon in Vegas, The Iceman Cometh (Tony nom.), Meteor Shower, School of Rock (Tony nom.), and Three Tall Women (Tony nom.), among others. Additionally, he oversaw campaigns for San Francisco's Curran, New York Stage & Film, Shakespeare & Co., and the Williamstown Theatre Festival.
From 2018-2020, alongside his O&M Etc. role, Matthew was the Associate Artistic Director at Theatre Aspen, where he managed creative planning, artistic relations, casting, special programs and led the Apprentice Program, while also overseeing the company's communications strategies. In September 2019 he co-produced the inaugural developmental one-person show festival, Solo Flights.
Matthew worked alongside Jeni Britton, Founder & Chief Creative Officer of Jeni's Ice Creams, as Assistant Creative Director and Chief of Staff from 2012-2015.
Prior, Matthew was the Artistic & Management Associate at producing office Above the Title Entertainment where, most notably, he was part of the team that re-opened the legendary Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, PA, where highlights include A Grand Night for Singing, Barefoot in the Park and the BCP Cabaret Series, hosted by the late award-winning playwright Christopher Durang.
At Above the Title, projects included the Broadway and London productions of Driving Miss Daisy starring James Earl Jones and Vanessa Redgrave, as well as the Australian production starring Mr. Jones and Angela Lansbury, and the UK Tour; Craig Wright's Broadway bow Grace, starring Paul Rudd, Ed Asner, and Michael Shannon; the Off-Broadway musical Rated P: For Parenthood; the Chicago production of the re-imagined Stephen Schwartz musical Working; and the experimental new dance musical Promise, among others. At Above the Title, Matthew was the Program Administrator of the Commercial Theater Institute, the leading industry training program for early career producers.
Matthew began his career as the casting intern at Manhattan Theatre Club, as well as assisting with the new musical workshop series at The Human Race Theatre Co., and as the Assistant Company Manager for West Virginia Public Theatre's inaugural summer season at the Morgantown Events Center.
A graduate of the Wright State University Professional Actor Training Program with a Cum Laude Honors B.F.A. degree in Acting, he was the first-ever Producing Artistic Director of the student run Jubilee Directing Lab Theatre, where he directed: i Sing!, Art, D-Lab Cab and Senior Year's A Drag. At WSU he also conceived his one person show: Holy Homo, Batman! and was the Producing Director of Stu-Cab '08: The Resurrection.
Matthew currently lives in San Francisco with his husband Shaun and their dog, Rusty.
